Happiness… the most oversold topic.

Everyone talks about being happy and content, and how to “achieve” happiness — blah, blah, blah.

But what is the meaning of happiness?

What is its duration?

Is it a result, a process, or a state of being?

Why is everyone running after it?

Can one truly be happy and lead a “happy lifestyle”?

Happiness is one of the most oversold and aggressively marketed ideas in recent human history.

People for ages have been trying to reach this so-called state, chasing it until their last breath. The truth is: it’s all false.

Some relate happiness to achievement, some to power, money, nirvana, family, or something else entirely. It has become an ever-changing goalpost — one you keep running toward, only for it to jump to another corner like a cat-and-mouse chase.

You’ve probably said the usual conditioned lines: "I’ll be happy once I get my promotion, ”Once I meet my targets, ”Once I take my family on a holiday…”

Basically, once a certain act is completed, then you’ll feel happy. You’ve tied your happiness to an outcome. And by doing so, you’ve enslaved yourself — not only to the idea of happiness, but to the tasks themselves.

Your logical mind will defend this. It will say it adds to your confidence, self-belief, self-worth, and evolution. It will tell you that you’re smart. If your mind is thinking this, think again. Because beneath that reasoning lies a hidden belief: that you currently consider yourself useless, unhappy, and incomplete — and the mask of confidence you’re wearing is trembling.

Then comes the next reaction from the logical mind: "But I’m already happy,” because the ego refuses to accept your inner state. Or: “Explain how I can be happy, I want to understand it better…”

On one hand you’ve accepted the truth, but on the other, you immediately fight back — wanting ready answers, wanting to debate, wanting to prove your intellect, your brilliance, your success story… and all the rest of the usual nonsense.

There may be many more reactions. None of them matter. Even everything above doesn’t matter.

What matters is you. The real you — the one who is silently noticing all of this, watching the drama unfold.

Don’t expect anyone to blow sunshine up your ass, or sell you the next version of the “pursuit of happiness.” Don’t buy into that illusion again. Figure it out for yourself.

How would you even know you’re happy if you’ve never experienced sadness? They are two sides of the same coin.

It’s okay to be sad. It’s okay to be happy.

Don’t push to be happy. Don’t push to be sad.

Whatever is… is. Just Keep Watching your the play of your mind.... Be a watcher.
